Thin-wall tube from 0.4mm is light and cheap, but it buckles and wrinkles the moment forming force is uneven, and the weld easily burns through or fails to fuse. Mills that cannot control these defects produce scrap instead of the light-gauge tube customers now demand.
A 0.4-1.5mm strip carries almost no rigidity, so any leveling error or single-radius pass concentrates bending at the edge and triggers waves. An unguided weld seam drifts and burns through at high speed, while uneven cooling adds residual stress that distorts the light body.
A 7-roll precision leveler feeds the strip flat, and double-radius forming with 5 rough plus 3 finish stands shapes it gently to avoid edge buckling.
Dedicated seam guidance with squeeze welding completes fusion without burn-through, and adjustable squeeze pressure protects the thin wall.
≥10 t/h spray plus overflow-pool cooling removes heat quickly to hold shape, before 6+6 sizing and Turk head straightening deliver stable thin-wall tube at up to 90 m/min.

Every ZY20 runs one continuous flow from coil to finished cut tube. An uncoiler feeds strip through a 7-roll precision leveler that removes coil-set, then double-radius forming shapes it in 5 rough and 3 finish stands without edge wave. A 100 kW solid-state HF welder fuses the seam under squeeze pressure with a dedicated seam guide, and an automatic outside-burr unit clears the bead immediately. ≥10 t/h spray plus overflow-pool cooling locks the shape, the 6-horizontal + 6-vertical sizing train sets the diameter, and a 4-roll Turk head straightens the tube before the microcomputer flying saw cuts 4–8m lengths to ±3mm. Overload-protected stands and 42CrMo hardened shafts keep the whole line stable over long runs.
Light-gauge furniture and structural tube, thin-wall mechanical conduit, and lightweight framing where 0.4-1.5mm wall saves material and weight.
Confirm your minimum wall first — the ZY20 handles 0.4-1.5mm. Match OD to φ10-26mm, verify the welder power and cooling rate for your speed, and check the leveler and pass design are built for light gauge.
The ZY20 ships as a turnkey package with layout and foundation drawings so you can prepare the site before delivery. Engineer-led on-site installation and commissioning bring the line to rated output, with operator training to hand over a running mill. A one-year warranty with spare-parts support protects the investment, and because the line accepts HR, CR and galvanized coil, you can adapt to changing material costs and market demand without re-tooling.
0.4mm, thanks to gentle double-radius forming and controlled squeeze welding.
Positive seam guidance and adjustable squeeze pressure keep heat input low and fusion complete.
The line still reaches up to 90 m/min with proper cooling.
